Frequently Asked Questions

I'm interested in buying a jewelry domain, but I don't see the domain available for sale on your website.  What should I do?

Please fill out the Price Quote form, and if the domain name is available for sale, we will respond back within 48 hours.

In some instances, we can help you acquire a jewelry domain even if we do not own the domain name ourselves.

Can you explain the "Asking Price"?

Offers placed for domain names at full asking price will typically be accepted by Jewelry.Domains.

Offers placed below the asking price may be considered, depending upon the offer and domain name.

Unfortunately, we cannot respond back to all offers.  If you place an offer and do not receive a reply back in 48 hours, your offer was not accepted.

We may reject an offer for any reason, even at full asking price.

What is the "Make Offer" process?

The process for making an offer is straightforward.

Please fill out the Make Offer form, and an experienced representative will contact you back if your offer is accepted.

We try to evaluate all offers within 24-48 hours.

If your offer is accepted, we will promptly contact you in regard to your preferred payment method.

In order to preserve your time and ours, we only respond back to offers we deem credible and reasonable.

If you do not receive a response back to an offer within 48 hours of submission your offer was not accepted.

What payment methods do you accept?

Our preferred payment method is Escrow.com which protects both the buyer and seller during the transaction process.

We also accept payment through GoDaddy (Afternic), Sedo, and Atom.com, however, additional fees may apply.

Do you offer financing?

Unfortunately we do not offer financing or lease-to-own terms for domain purchases.

What is a domain's "Birthday"?

A domain's "birthday" is its original registration date.  Please note, on occasion, when domains are not renewed, they may subsequently lose their originally recorded registration dates.

What does the term "TLD" stand for?

TLD stands for Top Level Domain.  The TLD is the technical term for a domain extension such as .com, .net, or .org.

What is a "Renewal Fee"?

Domain names must be renewed annually, or can be renewed up to ten years in advance in some instances.

The renewal fee for ".com" domains is $10.99/yr through GoDaddy if you belong to their Discount Domain Club, regardless of the domain name.

For TLDs that are not dot com, such as .Jewelry, the renewal fee is often dependent upon the exact domain name.

What is the domain transfer process?  How long does it take?

The domain transfer process is quick and easy.

Once funds are secured by Escrow.com, we "push" the domain name to your GoDaddy account and it's in your possession within minutes.

Please note:  GoDaddy accounts are free to create and maintain if you don't already have one.

If you prefer transferring the domain to a different registrar in order to take possession, the transfer process may take several days.

How did you acquire such a large portfolio of premium jewelry domains?

We began hand registering premium jewelry domains in 1999.

Over the years we added to our collection by purchasing new domains on the secondary market and directly acquiring domains from jewelers.  It became more of a hobby over time, always willing to pay top dollar for dot com domains of great potential.

All good things must come to an end, or in this case, a new beginning.  We are now unwinding our collection to jewelers, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Can I list my jewelry domain for sale?

Currently we only list our owned domain inventory to ensure a seamless transaction process from beginning to end.
